Taking off shortly from Pearson international Airport. Flying with Icelandair at 9:10 PM and land 6:30 AM UTC (Icelandic time) . WOW air is cheaper but you have to pay for every luggage piece. The price difference was small once it was all said and done.
For once I made it through security without any random checks and under 10 minutes to boot! But it seemed my luck rubbed off on my girlfriend (Yvette), who got flagged two times in a row. Once for those one use handwarmers that oxidize and the second we aren’t too sure. Other then the awkward questions all went well with security.
Once on the other side we sat down for dinner at Fionn Maccool’s (pub style food). While we were there we met this lovely lady who insisted Yve and I spend too much time on our phones (her arguments would have resonated inside of my parents). Amongst her teasing we learned her flight was delayed by 6 hours and we were a great source of entertainment for her. As she left to catch her flight she insisted we take her 2 food vouchers as she spent the 3 hours consuming beverages instead of edibles.
Long story short a talkative lady kindly paid for everything except for $1.36 and I didn’t get flagged by security. Seems like we are off to a good start.
